Celebrate Mom With a Card from Cardstore

Before I became a mother, everyone told me it was the toughest job in the world. You don’t truly get what they’re saying until you become a mother. It’s a very tough – but rewarding job. I also think you don’t appreciate every little thing your own mother has done for you until you are one! I know my mom had it tough raising 2 girls. She worked so hard to give us everything we needed and wanted, was our personal chauffeur, cook, maid, seamstress, cleaning person, nurse, confidant, shoulder to cry on (the list goes on and on!) Moms are very special superwomen! They are the only ones who can juggle a million jobs, keep the family running, and not lose their minds in the process (well, maybe sometimes)! That’s why this year why not celebrate Mom with a card from Cardstore?!
When this beautiful soul arrive in 2011, my world completely changed forever! I was a nervous wreck! I was now responsible for another human being – one that I instantly loved more than life itself! I was so overwhelmed with love and this feeling that I would protect him from anything and everything! It wasn’t until my son was born that I really got to see the amazing job God has given me! Being a mom is a true blessing.
The toughest thing for me is being a working mother. You feel guilty because you’re not with your child all day and you’re wondering if you’re missing out on all of his special milestones – his first word, first steps, etc. My mom was also a working mother. I think that’s where I get my work ethic! Why not throw a full-time job into the mix?! I think it’s great to show your children that you can work outside the home and be a hands-on mom when you’re not working. I know I appreciate the time I have with my son when I’m not working and we make our time together fun and memorable!
In the beginning, getting used to no sleep was challenging! All of those late nights when I would rock my son to sleep, wake up in the middle of the night when he was sick, wake up early in the morning when he is full of energy and I’m running on 2 hours of sleep! I know my mom made many sacrifices for me – even her good night’s sleep! That’s what we do as moms for our children! Now, that my mom is a grandma, she is still doing everything for my son and I. For Mother’s Day, I want to show her how much she means to us by making her a nice card. Her favorite color is purple and she loves flowers, so I thought the one below would be perfect for her!
I love how you can personalize it and create your own message!
My son is growing so fast. I can’t believe he will be turning 3 in 2 weeks! Where has the time gone?! Those late nights are now but a distant memory, but I miss them already! I look at those late nights and other challenges as a blessing! When my baby is all grown up, I know I’m going to give anything just to have those late nights back, the crazy dinner times, and our fun family adventures! So for now, I will cherish every little moment I have with my son and my mom!
