Cinco de Mayo Themed Birthday Party

Christina of 4 Kids Cakes styled this festive Cinco de Mayo Themed Birthday Party! Christina’s son, Zach is getting older, so it’s hard finding fun age-appropriate birthday themes. His birthday is in May, so they went with a Cinco de Mayo Birthday Party! How festive! I just love Cinco de Mayo themed celebrations and it’s a great theme for a birthday party since everything is already fun, colorful and festive! Christina even made the most amazing cake at the request of her children!

The party was designed around fun party printables and supplies from Party On Designs. There was also Mexican-themed food, Mexican candy from a local market, Mexican apple pop and water, and hot sauce cans used as mini platters.

Flowers in Mexican-style cans with chalkboard signs were the perfect addition to the table!

Now the fun part – the treats! Guests enjoyed Key Lime Cake Pops and Fiesta Hat Cookies by 4 Kids Cakes. The cookie design was inspired by Party City. They are just adorable!

For added fun, she added mustaches to yellow, red and green stripey straws! The details don’t stop there! Wood utensils stamped with cactus and FIESTA were a great added detail to the food!

To challenge Mom, the kids came up with the idea of a Mexican hat cake! How fun! It was a lemon cake with key lime filling, which gave it a fun citrus flair! Look how awesome the cake turned out!
