Colorful Easter Party

From Tiffany of Fizzy Party: Easter is almost always full of pastels and I’m just not a pastel girl. I’m drawn to bright colors. So when I threw an Easter brunch for my friends I made it fun and bright. The invitation had the bright fun feeling I was looking for and I knew my friends would be excited to attend this brunch when they received it.
The chicks on the invitation reminded me of balloons, so I created an easy fun backdrop by attaching balloons to the wall in the colors of the chicks. The purple linen matched the invitation’s backdrop. I kept brunch simple by serving mini croissants, fruit and quiche. The mini croissants needed a little fun and color and the yellow candy wands took care of that.
You can’t have an Easter party without treats and this brunch was no exception. Jelly beans, my favorite, were a must. I even filled little containers with jelly beans, adding spring checkered ribbon, a little bunny candy and bright yellow tulle pom to take home as party favors. Cake push ups with frosting in the invitation’s colors were served instead of the usual cupcakes or cake. For an extra dose of cuteness, candy covered apples matching the chicks on the invitation were served.
After brunch we all had fun taking photos in front of the hot pink letter balloons that spelled Happy Easter!
