Colorful Halloween Picnic Party
This Colorful Halloween Picnic Party from Plated Picnic of South Florida features funky pops of color with ghoulish details.
The backyard event features picnic-style seating, an impressive balloon wall, and garland with floating witch hats, a visitor back from the dead, and much more!
This modern, spooky soiree, captured by Lindsay Ann of Lindsay Ann Photography, features a “Trick or Treat Yourself” area that includes skull hands holding jack-o-lanterns filled to the brim with popcorn.
But don’t be “Bat to the Bone” because there’s a lot more party fun to unpack here!
If you’re wondering how you can throw an epic Halloween party for kids and adults, take notes because this ghostly affair is one for the books!
Can you guess who came back from the dead to attend this backyard bash?!
We all know a fun backyard Halloween party isn’t complete without a gigantic bounce house! If you don’t know how to entertain the kids at a Halloween party, this is a great idea!
The white bounce house by Lets Bounce FL was decorated with floating witches’ hats, a colorful balloon garland in the party’s color palette, and a cool balloon wall by Plated Picnic.
The balloon wall features faux florals, glittery branches, and tons of spiders. The moody colors of the balloon garland really popped against the white bounce house.
Who’s the party crasher, you ask?! It’s everyone’s favorite skeleton attendant, Fred, who came back from the dead to make a special appearance!
The modern party decorations include custom vinyl decals by Milly from Milly’s Customs.
A hot pink rainbow arch with a ‘Bat to the Bone’ decal includes a black chandelier. The half-circle and quarter-panel backdrops are covered in spiders – eek!
Pink ombre tombstones and bejeweled pumpkins decorated the backyard party space.
The largest party standee features a ‘Trick or Treat Yourself’ decal and skeleton hands holding black candy apples infested with sour gummy worms and a bucket of flavored popcorn in jack-o-lanterns.
We love the play on words here and how this decoration really sets the tone for the entire event.
How clever are these creepy skeleton hands holding the jack-o-lanterns and black rotten apples?! What an eye-catching display and a fun spot to take some photos of everyone in their Halloween costumes.
Plated Picnic designed the picnic tablescape using a lace spiderweb table runner, color-blocked pumpkin plates by Kailo Chic, pink guest towels covered in eyeballs by My Minds Eye, felt spiderweb placemats, gold utensils, and acrylic glasses with skeleton hands and ‘BOO’ drink stirrers. Each place setting held a mini black cauldron filled with rainbow licorice.
Pops of color really make a bold statement on the party table.
Table centerpieces include decorated mini pumpkins with feathers, flowers, and jewels.
The chic Halloween-inspired decor added a touch of whimsy! Don’t you think?!
This black-painted pumpkin with iridescent jewels, feathers, and other florals looks great with the other “boo-tiful” details on the table.
Who says a skeleton head can’t look chic at a Halloween party?! We love this bedazzled pink skeleton next to a smaller hot pink skeleton head. What a great way to dress up some common Halloween decor!
A tablescape would not be complete without skillfully and artistically designed cookies. Steph from Steph’s Sweet World created several incredibly detailed cookies, from disco balls to girly ghosts to witch hats and bubbling cauldrons.
This spooktacular fete features not one but TWO groovy cakes by Hailey from Hailey Pancakes.
The first cake is a coffin with vintage buttercream piping and pink chocolate skulls.
Nat from Boards by Nat put together a creepy charcuterie board for this spooky Halloween picnic party.
If you look closely, you’ll find creepy crawlers and bones scattered throughout this “boo-licious” charcuterie board, and a cheesy ghost with star anise for eyes. Spooky!
Pink pumpkins and bedazzled skull flower arrangements by Honey Flower can be seen throughout the Halloween-themed event.
The second cake is a colorful two-tier cake complete with disco balls, skulls, macaroons, and spiders. How fun!
The purple, orange, pink, and teal cake also features a drip design and is topped with a white skeleton skull and disco balls in various sizes.
How cool is this creepy green drink with a black ‘BOO’ drink stirrer and orange skeleton hand wrapped around the glass? Details like this are what make a Halloween party “spooktacular!”
“Spooky queen,” the star of the show, is dressed to the nines in a custom “Stay Spooky” tee by Milly’s Customs and resin, and dried flower jewelry by Ann + Joy.
The crescent-shaped necklace and bracelet featuring cat ears are perfectly fitting for a spooky soiree.
It’s not a Halloween party unless the pets come dressed in costume too!
This party is no tricks and all treats! Who wouldn’t love a moody, creepy, and colorful Halloween picnic party like this one?!
We love the idea of a simple picnic set up in the backyard with a bounce house and some stylish party supplies and decor.
