Colorful Monster Themed 1st Birthday Party

Helen Rodriguez of Ever After Event & Floral Design designed this adorable and very colorful monster party for one very lucky little 1-year-old.

From Helen:

Details: We designed this wonderfully monsterous first birthday for the cutest little monster you ever did see. This child’s mother worked closely with us creating details inspired by anything monster. Stepping away from the typical children’s party themes, we decided on a fun monster theme with polka dots, chevron, and lots of color.

Food: All the food was homemade by the family of the birthday boy.

Venue & Entertainment: Using a kid-friend space like Baby Stars offers tons of entertainment for the little ones. There was a large play area for kids complete with a ball pit and bounce pad, then we transitioned into circle time followed by a puppet show.

Decorations, DYI & Details: My favorite DYI is an obsession of mine, the letters to spell out ADRIAN. Love this idea because you can keep them and use them to decorate your child’s big kid room or playroom. This mom will be doing just that when they move this year. We can create them in any theme or color. Our baker makes the most amazing cakes! This cake featured the chevron pattern and a bunch of cute monsters. We had gummy monster lollipops and a candy station. You could even adopt your own monster! The birthday boy’s father even made these wonderful monster faces for the Play-Doh favors. Over size paper clips displayed pictures of the first year in review. The cake table was just in front of our beautiful backdrop. We created the puffs and bunting to decorate the backdrop and we used white draping to cover an outdated wall.monster7monster9monster4monster2monster5monster3monster8monster6

  2. I’m doing a monster theme for my sons 1st and I am curious to know where you (or the mom) found Play dough containers that are colored like that!!! Name brand Playdoh has a yellow container and this is driving me crazy! Lol thank you!

    1. Cendel, the father was actually the one who made these. I believe they wrapped the container with construction paper. I hope that helps. They were also mini playdough containers. Good luck crafting!
