Gorgeous DIY Fall Wedding
RaeChel and Chris met on Facebook when RaeChel was studying abroad. They had a gorgeous DIY fall wedding, crisp fall air, beautiful yellow leaves dripping with warm light and sunny skies. Everything was so relaxed from the moment they both arrived at the First Unitarian Church in downtown Madison. This church was designed by Frank Loyd Wright and is so unique just like this amazing couple.
They had their reception at the Essen House and served up some traditional German foods, drank mugs of beer rather than feeding each other cake and passed around a the traditional German boot in true Wisconsin fashion! How fun!! I loved the moose head hanging from the wall and thought it added a unique venue look.
RaeChel was a true DIY bride. She, along with her friends and family, all worked so hard on their wedding day details. And as a sucker for details, I have to share a few of my favorites. She designed and made all of the bouquets and boutonnieres. Her maid of honor made the amazing wedding cake and holy smokes was it tasty! I loved the individual coffee packets they created as favors for their guest.
I also loved the personal touch they gave as gifts to their wedding party. This group of friends love to game together and RaeChel and Chris gave them all unique dice as a thank you gift. I’ve never seen that before.
