DIY Chip & Dip Server

Thank you Cristy for having me over at Pretty My Party! I’m thrilled to be sharing a DIY project with your readers today. With Memorial Day quickly approaching, which means the official start of BBQ season, I have a quick solution for a custom Chip & Dip Server! For my server, I used a plate and bowl I found on clearance at Target (love!). I love the colors and it matched the nautical theme I wanted. The original idea I found over at The Crafting Chicks blog.

I made another version for the Christmas holiday too; it held my Dill Pickle Dip perfectly!

Well, onto the tutorial!

Supplies:

Plate (melamine works well)

Bowl

Candle Stick (Dollar Store!)

E600 Glue (or your favorite clear drying glue)

Instructions:

First, make sure the supplies are clean and dry. Carefully apply glue around the base of the candle holder and center it on the bottom of the bowl. Apply pressure to hold in place. Allow this to dry about 15 minutes before attaching the plate. Apply more glue on the top of the candle stick and center it on top of the plate. Apply pressure; this should dry for 15 minutes or overnight. Wash and fill with your favorite chips and dip! Be ready for compliments at your next BBQ or summer potluck! So easy, inexpensive and completely customizable!
