Heart-Themed First Birthday

All first birthdays are exciting days for parents!  It’s such a big milestone and even if that cute little baby doesn’t quite know what’s going on, it’s an important day to document and celebrate! This party was no different! This little girl is such a sweetheart that it didn’t take long to decide on a Heart-Themed First Birthday bash!

Dad is a graphic designer originally from the Philadelphia area, but his family now lives in Florida. They decided to travel home to celebrate their daughter’s 1st birthday with a party at a family member’s house in the Philadelphia area. Being in graphic design, it was pretty easy to decide who would be creating ALL of the details for the party! 

217 Photography was on-hand to photograph the big event! They decorated the front of the house’s walkway so cute with hearts on sticks staked in the ground. Everyone was sure to know it was a big day!

Goodies were on-hand for everyone to relish!  There were cute personalized drink containers for all of the guests, along with colorful choices for the drinks that were available! Not only were hearts a big focus of this birthday party, but the colors of the rainbow were, as well!

The cake was so fun and whimsical! Beautiful rainbow-colored hearts were cascading down a modern, white-tiered cake. How sweet for this fun first birthday party!  We’re sure this little girl was absolutely enamored with her awesome birthday cake!

Cake wasn’t the only dessert on the menu!  There were awesome pies, heart-shaped frosted cookies, and of course, the awesome smash cake for the little birthday girl! She sure had a fun time with that!

Games kept all the guests entertained throughout the event. “Dearts” was a fun game that everyone played and the kids loved seeing who could get their “dart” closest to the middle of the heart! They were also able to write notes to the birthday girl on a table runner, along with other fun activities to occupy the little ones! And it was definitely successful!

Because Dad did a lot of the design work, most everything was DIY!  How impressive!  The cute little goody bags were homemade and we love the little chalkboard-inspired name tags that are on all of them! And of course they were filled with heart and rainbow-colored goodies! Dad also created the wonderful decorations and banners that were around the house. Awe!

It was the most beautiful, custom-designed birthday party!  Happy first birthday to this sweet baby girl!!  We can’t wait to see what her parents come up with next year!
