How to make a kids snack station

If there’s one thing parents want for their children, it’s getting their kids to eat healthier. This includes snack time. As the weather gets nicer, fun activities will be in full swing and finding ways to fit in healthier snack options doesn’t have to be difficult. Here’s how to make a kids snack station!

Life can get busy. Save time by preparing healthy snacks for the kids ahead of time. Dedicate a little time on Sunday to prepare your snack stations for the week. There are 2 ways you could make your snack stations. First, you can use containers with sections or just get sandwich bags and a few larger containers to  fill with all of your snacks. You can make a snack station for the refrigerator and the pantry so your kids will have mom-approved snacks all week long!

Here’s some ideas to help you prepare your snack stations:

• Container with sections and/or large containers
• Sandwich bags
• Drinks (Our family loves Capri Sun Organic pouches)
• Fruits (Strawberries, blueberries, bananas, grapes, etc.)
• Crackers
• Cheese
• Yogurt
• Pretzels
• Cereal
• Dried fruit or fruit snacks
• Trail mix

First, grab some containers and sandwich bags. Then fill the containers and sandwich bags with fruits, veggies, pretzels, cheese, drinks, etc. Tip: Cut fruits and veggies ahead of time and put in the sandwich bags. Doing this will save you time during the week. Having everything already cut and prepared will make your life much easier. Everything will be ready so you can grab and go all week when you are running the kids to school, sports, playdates, etc.
