Modern Baseball Birthday Party
Batter Up! I am so excited to share this Modern Baseball Birthday Party that Bloom Designs Online styled for her son Luke’s 9th birthday. Luke is all about the game – he loves it and so does his friends. They play hard and rough so the party was more graphic and urban than most All American Baseball Parties you usually see. 
It all started with a red, black and white color scheme and had a lot of wood elements (think bats).
A lot of baseball terms were used so Bloom Designs Online created this really fun background paper which was used throughout the party.
All the trophies were simply spray painted red to become the centerpiece of the table. There was a table runner made out of graphics and the number 9 added to the plates.
Wooden cutlery was placed in mini black and white bags and each boy got a “Game Ball” tube and a mini juice container to complete their setting. A custom Play Ball balloon was tied to each chair.
The dessert table was framed by two 36 inch balloons and featured Baseball Cake Pops by Cake Poppin, Root Root Root Beer, Cracker Jacks Mini Chocolate Covered Oreos decorated like baseballs and Bunt Cakes.
A spray painted crate was the perfect way to display the cake and some of the baseball bat favors.
These baseball bats were the hit of the party as the party favors.
Chocolate covered Oreos and cake pops both decorated to look like balls were placed on top of cake stands. I love how the root beer bottles had special labels for them.
Edible Details made the most perfect fondant baseball gloves that topped the cake and cupcakes.
You can’t do baseball without Cracker Jacks!
Oreo sliders and baseball sugar cookies by Flourish Sweet Shop were cut out to spell Luke’s name.
Such a great way to top a simple cake – with a fondant baseball mitt and ball with the number 9.
There were a few famous baseball quotes that were printed for the snack and favor table. Mini kraft rippled cups with raspberries added the perfect pop of color. 
The boys treated themselves to fun baseball treats like peanuts, licorice, sunflower seeds, Babe Ruth bars and Big League Chew. 
The party favors were custom mini baseball bats with the party logo on it.
The party ended with this amazing smash cake!
The birthday boy slid in head first. Now that’s how you do a smash cake!
