Proud As A Peacock Baby Shower

Sonal and Anurag are both from India. Because of some unusual circumstances, Sonal was in the United States working during her pregnancy, while Anurag was in India caring for his mother. Sonal had a rough time being so far from her family and husband, so her friends wanted to give her a spectacular baby shower to keep her spirits high. Sonal was worried because they weren’t sure Anurag would be here for the birth, but miraculously the stars aligned and he was able to come to the United States with Sonal’s family, two weeks before their baby was born. The shower became co-ed, because Sonal didn’t want to leave Anurag’s side for another second after being away for so long. They decided on having a Peacock theme for their shower. Candee by Sandee created a candy bar with peacock themed colors for guest favors. Ever After Printables designed the peacock signing board. Guests placed their thumbprints and signature on the board, and it was framed for Sonal and Anurag to hang in the baby’s room. Erika of Erika’s Elegance came up with clever games. One game included sculpting Sonal and Anurag’s baby from play dough, which generated a lot of fun and laughs. Laura Culwell designed the cake (one layer of pineapple cake and another of vanilla). The invitations were designed by White Rabbit Photo Boutique. Sonal and Anurag waited to see if they were having a boy or girl, so Sonal wrote the names for each on a paper for the photographer to photograph. Two weeks later, they had a baby boy!!!
