Sloppy Joe Tailgating Recipe
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of SOLO® Brand Products for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
I don’t know about you, but tailgating with family and friends is my favorite thing about football season! It’s great when everyone gets together for fun, food and football! One of my favorite football recipes is my Sloppy Joe Tailgating Recipe! It’s a family favorite and the perfect recipe for your football or tailgating parties. Since Sloppy Joe’s are already pretty messy to eat, I always bring SOLO® Squared Plastic Plates because they are heavy-duty and can hold a variety of my tailgating favorites.
Our family loves the Eagles and we often make the 2-hour trip to Philadelphia to see a few games every season. We usually meet a group of friends and tailgate before the game. We pack the car with all of our tailgating essentials like our Eagles chairs, table, and of course, our famous Sloppy Joe’s!
Sloppy Joe Tailgating Recipe

- 3 pounds ground beef
- 1 12 oz. bottle of Bennett’s Chili Sauce
- Ketchup to taste
- Hamburger buns or rolls
Directions:
1. Crumble the ground beef into a large pot over medium high heat until brown.
2. Drain grease.
3. Reduce heat to medium and add entire bottle of chili sauce. Then add ketchup to taste. Stir and then simmer for a few minutes.
4. Serve on a roll or bun and enjoy!
And don’t forget, you need to wash down those delicious Sloppy Joe’s with some refreshments! And you can’t have a tailgating party without SOLO® squared cups! They are the perfect thing to hold a variety of beverages for the big game! Not every cups is a SOLO® cup. Only SOLO® is squared and products include clear cups, ULTRA cups in different colors, and ‘It’s My SOLO’ cups – you can simply peel the label, make your mark by scratching your name, and let the fun begin!
Between food, drinks, cups, plates, napkins, and tailgating essentials, our car can get pretty packed! One tip for your tailgating parties is get a group of friends and family together and have each person bring their favorite football dish! This way you won’t have a football food buffet in your car and it will take less stress off of one person.
