Sofia the First Playdate
The new Disney hit “Sofia the First”‘ is now every little girl’s favorite show! I love how Jaclyn of Peckled incorporated enchanted DIYs into this Sofia the First Playdate, including the pinwheel banner, coffee filter/baking cup poms on DIY candlesticks, and a hand-painted crown! Among the decor, were some of my favorite woodland characters from the show! The Sofia book, purple princess crowns, glittery decor, and shimmery purple gumballs were just some of the lovely details that made this simple, yet playfully elegant “Royal Purple Play Date” amazing! The little princesses got the opportunity to create their own special amulet necklaces (one of Sofia’s prized possessions)! Before lunch, one of the moms read a Sofia book to the children.Since this was a morning playdate, Jaclyn skipped the dessert table and chose a healthy purple lunch spread. The children enjoyed crown shaped PB&J sandwiches, fresh purple fruits and veggies, and a “fancy” parfait made of layered yogurt, blueberry muffins, and blueberries. She even found purple carrots at a local gourmet grocer! Favors included decorated plastic milk bottles, purple crowns, shimmery gumballs, and purple rose shaped hand soap.
