Southern Plantation Wedding
The South is known for their gorgeous plantation homes and if you’re lucky enough to host your wedding and reception at one like this bride did, you know your wedding day is going to be truly amazing! This classic Southern Plantation Wedding was everything the bride and groom dreamed of and more. The best day of their lives was captured by Amber Cather Photography so they can remember the best day of their lives forever. The beautiful white plantation home surrounded by lush greenery and gorgeous horses was the perfect location to say I do as you will see from the photos below.
Lisa and Michael had the most beautiful and classic wedding at this plantation house in Cleveland, Georgia. Both the bride and groom are active military. The bride wore a gorgeous gown from David’s Bridal and her bridesmaids were in Alfred Angelo. The bride’s mother made her veil from the one she wore on her wedding day! How sweet is that?! It was truly a beautiful day for a beautiful couple.
The bride carried a gorgeous bouquet of white and blush peonies, one of our favorite flowers! She looked absolutely stunning while waiting to marry her prince charming.
We absolutely love this shot of the guys praying before the ceremony. Capturing the guys in that special moment makes for a great photo.
Pink, red and green flowers set in mason jars hung from white chairs for the ceremony, which took place in front of the beautiful white plantation home. What a picturesque ceremony setting!
The guys were in classic black tie, while the girls wore pretty, long grey/silver gowns.
The reception area had a rustic, yet elegant feel. We love how all of the vintage chairs were different. It really added character to the space.
Many of the wedding details highlighted the love this couple share, like the Love is Sweet wedding favors, the love birds, and perfect pick banner.
The gorgeous silver, white and blush wedding cake was absolutely stunning and featured a beautiful sugar peony flower, which matched the bride’s bouquet! Set upon two barrels, the wedding cake, along with the other desserts, looked simply beautiful!
The groom’s cake was awesome to say the least! A turkey sat on top of a hill surrounded by greenery and other animals. It was a true outdoorsman’s cake!
The bride and groom look so in love while dancing as the sun set outside of the barn. So sweet!
Of course the beautiful horses were included in the ceremony and wedding photos. I mean, how can they not be? The photos were beautiful and really showed how gorgeous a classic southern plantation wedding can be! After the party was over, family and friends did a sparkler send off, wishing the new married couple a long and happy life together.
