Tutus and Teacups Styled Shoot

Styled photo shoots are always so much fun! It is so magical in getting to create a glimpse into a different life or a party that you have been dreaming about forever. That was what happened for this event, which was a Tutus and Teacups Styled Shoot! 

The goal for So Lovely Weddings & Blooms was to create a feminine and fun event with a color palette that matched! Inspired by the gorgeous spring weather, the design was simple and romantic with soft colors found in the dancers’ attire, flowers, and in the paper products. Of course, in a room full of ballerinas, there is sure to be lots and lots of fun and dance!

What girl wouldn’t want to attend a tea party with her closest friends and spend the day as a pretty ballerina? So Lovely Weddings & Blooms came up with this styled shoot to help make any girl’s dream come true. They found inspiration on Pinterest, but ultimately put this unique shoot together themselves with the help of many excellent vendors! Six little ballerinas of all different ages were in attendance for the styled shoot and had their hair and make-up done by Les Cheveux Salon & Day Spa. What a magical experience for them!
So Lovely Weddings & Blooms found the perfect location for an afternoon of tea and dance, nestled in front of a beautiful garden that featured gorgeous outdoor views. There was a perfect mix of antique china, sweets & treats, bright florals, and vintage furniture. Everything combined created the perfect setting for a day of girly fun with friends!

Favorite elements from the styled shoot were the rainbow of pastel colored tutus, along with the beautiful floral crowns that the girls wore. How sweet! These elements brightened up all of the ballerinas and added a touch of whimsy.

A few of the food items on the menu were petit fours, cupcakes, scones, and of course … hot tea! Bubblecake Bake Shop also provided some wonderful cupcakes for the shoot, as well, and were the perfect addition to an afternoon of fun!

Dechele of Darian & Dechele Events styled the entire shoot. Dechele, along with the talented photographers, Ashley Powell Photography and Emily Marie Photography, created the tulle garland seen in a few of the photos!

After enjoying their tea, the older ballerinas danced with the younger ladies! The party favors were gorgeous graphic prints created by Jess Creates. Each ballerina was thrilled to receive a beautiful print with a quote about dance, and told everyone they couldn’t wait to find a place to frame the print at their home. How sweet! 

Overall, it was a day full of laughs and dancing and each girl had the best time. What a wonderful styled photo shoot and it will hopefully create the inspiration for perfect tutu and tea parties everywhere!
