Let the wild rumpus begin with this fun Where The Wild Things Are Themed Party!
This little “Wild One” had quite the milestone celebration with friends and family with a Where The Wild Things Are Birthday Party! Pink Pumpkin Events did an amazing job designing this birthday celebration, with decor and inspiration coming from Where the Wild Things Are, along with characters from the book. With a color palette of greens, along with white, black, brown and gold, it was the perfect mix of birthday boy fun with creative additions.
The celebration featured an amazing dessert table, complete with a cake fit for a king, along with cupcakes from Cakery Arts. There were also many DIY creations on the dessert table, thanks to the birthday boy’s Grandma and Aunt. These included s’mores on a stick and other treats found on the sweets table. They also made the homemade cookie party favors that everyone was able to take home, too!
Flash And Frame provided an incredible photo booth, which was complete with a faux fur rug and tent! All of the guests loved being a part of the celebration and they were even able to sign a storybook, which will be used as a keepsake for the birthday boy. What a sweet thing to incorporate in a Wild One 1st birthday!
Different sayings from the book were used as printables all over the Where The Wild Things Are Birthday Party. There were also many whimsical forest items that were brought in for decorations, including wood accents, ferns, moss and Monstera leaves, which were used in the balloon garland over the dessert table. Even the water bottles featured themed labels!

Everything about this first birthday celebration is absolutely fantastic! We love the color palette, themed desserts, birthday cake, and decorations.
We have so many favorite details from this great birthday party, but our favorite has to be the wonderfully crafted dessert table. We love the Wild One banner that hangs as part of the backdrop, but a good balloon garland is just eye-catching. The mix of colors, along with the touches of greenery that were added with plants, make it perfect for this first birthday party theme. And the actual desserts? We love them! All of the extra touches like the wooden accents adds to the jungle feel and compliments the party perfectly.
