Will You Be My Bridesmaid Bridal Shower

There is a new trend today where small bridal showers are held by the bride-to-be to ask the nearest and dearest to her heart to be her Bridesmaids! We love this idea and it’s such a fun and unique way to kick off all of the wonderful wedding activities that take place. What an easy way to set the scene to let your girls know that even though you found your Prince Charming, you still need your gals! And it’s such an intimate and thoughtful way to be asked to share in the bride’s big day. We love this Will You Be My Bridesmaid Bridal Shower Photo Shoot!

For this photo shoot it was quickly decided that there would be a rustic-inspired spin on the event. The shoot showcases a pretty display of florals in a soft color palette, including shades of pastel pink, peach, and baby blue. The table was accented with hints of gold and burlap, as well! A birch bark pattern in the photo booth backdrop and Kraft paper in the banner really played up the rustic theme. How lovely and feminine! Many of the accents found at this party were produced by Kate Aspen.

The great thing about holding an event like this is that it truly can be held almost anywhere! Invite your girls over to your home for an intimate affair, or reserve a private room at your favorite restaurant! To set the scene for this photo shoot, the event planner started with a burlap tablecloth and layered the table with a personalized table runner from Kate Aspen, scalloped wooden chargers from Pier One, Italian white pottery plates, and lovely pink napkins. At each place setting, they also used burlap flower place card holders from Rifle Paper Co. to let each girl know where they would be sitting.

Host a fabulous brunch to ask your girls to be your bridesmaids! Pink mimosas can be served in monogrammed stemless glasses with a fun paper party straw, along with a personalized party flag – all found at Kate Aspen. Fun! These personalized wine glasses may also be handed out as favors once the shower is over. So cute and what a great memory for the girls.

Sweet treats like cake pops, a granola bar, and mimosas are the perfect snacks to celebrate. An adorable way to add a little more décor to your table is to add a small cake plate with cake pops from Cake Poppin! Aren’t these just beautiful? The personalized water bottle wraps are a great way to make the event super intimate and sweet as well!

Create simple yet elegant floral arrangements by shopping at your local markets. For this shower, white hydrangeas, along with tulips and roses in shades of pink, blush, and coral were used. Arranged in these fabulous birch wrapped wooden planters from Save On Crafts, they are the perfect touch of rustic elements for a brunch!

To add a special touch to any “Will You Be My Bridesmaid” event, bring in a personalized photo backdrop near the main table to help set the scene. It also provides a great way to capture these special moments with you and your girls! Adding a personalized banner to ask “Be My Maid?” is another way to let them know they are special to you!

Looking for a fun DIY for this event? Burlap bags filled with the Bridesmaid Essentials (nail polish and color swatches for dress shopping, along with beautiful jewelry for the big day) and a special note card asking “Will You Be My Bridesmaid?” are sure to make everyone teary-eyed!

Don’t forget to make your place (the birde-to-be’s seat) at the table special too! Add a vintage chair backer found at BHLDN that says “Here Comes the Bride” to create a fun way to celebrate the special day. Bonus? Use it again at your reception by hanging the other side which states “Just Married.” Two for one … can’t beat that!
